ADELANTE DINNER
The 24th annual Leadership Banquet hosted by the Califronia Migrant Leadership Council Preschool and Adelante was a success thanks to all of its supporters. Angel Diaz and the Adelante foundation presented Helen Chavez, widow of Cesar Chavez and Carmen Lara, a community leader with the prestigious Eagle Award. These two women have made and contiue to make a positive difference in Kern County. The very first Eagle Award was awarded to Cesar Chavez. When California Migrant Leadership Council opens up a new school, it will be named after Helen Chavez.

Terry Moreland was my PE teacher at DHS in 1968-1969 and Angel was my mechanic.

The Adelante Dinner was a great event Thanks Angel & Mary you did an outstanding job and the Chamber of Commerce was honored to be a part of it.
I was so impressed at the attendance and the respect for this wonderful event.
