There may not be a Kiddie Parade this Year????

Fifty-one years of tradition may not come this year to Delano due to the current fees that the city charges for parades that was enforced last year. The City charges $1,300 for Cinco de Mayo Inc., Delano Chamber of Commerce, Filipino Weekend Inc., and Harvest Holidays these fees for parades in Delano. I do not feel that an event like the "Kiddie Parade" should be charged these fees since this parade is not as big as these other parades. It is about two blocks long. Oh yeah, the weather has been wonderful like no other I've ever experienced in SB. I've been staying indoors protecting myself from the bad UV rays & the poor air quality. It's so good to be back in Delano. Missed that stuff. ha
Well, i'm going back on Monday because of the start of a new session at Brooks. It was great while it lasted. The energy isn't the same as over in SB...until you're 21+ that is.

We're planning on doing the extraterrestrial & hollywood red carpet next month. I'm actually down right now but I have to go back to SB Thursday and won't be back till next Tuesday.
