There may not be a Kiddie Parade this Year????

Fifty-one years of tradition may not come this year to Delano due to the current fees that the city charges for parades that was enforced last year. The City charges $1,300 for Cinco de Mayo Inc., Delano Chamber of Commerce, Filipino Weekend Inc., and Harvest Holidays these fees for parades in Delano. I do not feel that an event like the "Kiddie Parade" should be charged these fees since this parade is not as big as these other parades. It is about two blocks long. I feel that it means a lot to the children to march in the kiddie parade. I have pictures when I was in the kiddie parade. What are your thoughts?

There will be a kiddie Parade this year after all. Part of the problem was that the School District is not in session that week, and they are the ones the did all the organizing. But the Chamber and the PD have stepped in and are putting it on.
